Holy Moly!!! I am SO out of shape!
It’s kind of a slow time of the year here on the farm for us. Well, mostly for me. This is my time of year to get caught up on my housework and bookwork. Plus I use it as my “time to catch up on my lounging around and doing nothing” time that I didn’t get to do all summer. Wisdom and Words from my Mom
Today is my moms birthday. I told my Farmer a few days ago that it was coming up. He, being the thoughtful person that he is, asked if I wanted to do anything. Like go out to dinner or something. I said no, I’d be fine. Then this morning, as Facebook popped up a memory (dang Facebook), I was not. The memory was pictures of the last birthday we celebrated with my mom. The pictures were of her with two of her great grandchildren. Yes, the tears flowed. Yet that picture made me ponder her life and made me once again feel grateful for my time with her. I learned…

It Takes a Rope to Lead a Cow
After blogging about the difference between a farmer and a rancher, I want to tell you a little story about an incident that happened a few years back. Quite a few years back actually. We had a cow that was having difficulties calving and we needed to get her into the corral so we could help her. She did not want help and there was no way she was going into the corral.
