How I finally got my Farmer to eat Tuna Fish

    November 22, 2019 /

I love tuna fish. I grew up eating it a lot. Cold tuna sandwich, grilled tuna sandwich, tuna fish casserole, even straight from the can. My Farmer does did not like tuna fish. I figured he didn’t want to look unmanly in his dads eyes, so I never pushed the tuna.😉 Tuna fish became one of those foods I ate when my Farmer was away. Same with canned chili and grape Koolaid. I know. Don’t judge. HAHA. Anyways, after some time of being married to a…

    Fun Ag Facts

    November 19, 2019 /

As you know, I love sharing Ag facts. I love the crazy facts the most, like what is the number of jaw movements a cow has a day, or what was the first vegetable grown in outer space. The answers to the first questions you can find on my Ag Trivia page here. The answers to the last questions you can find below in this post. The American Farm Bureau Federation,…

Making Silage…..or as we call it….Making Islage.

    November 2, 2019 /

This year we made islage. What the heck is islage, you may ask. If I was to say we made silage, or even say ensilage, then you may know what I am talking about. I think it’s one of those “farm terms” that some call it this and some call it that and others call it this and that. I think I’ve even heard it called haylage. Whatever the correct terminology is, on our farm, it’s islage. Evidently that’s not a word. According to Google anyways. But, since this is my blog and I am in control, I am calling it islage. It’s easier to spell a word the way…
