And on the Farm they had a dog…..
When my boys were very small, we got a dog for them. Actually, I believe someone gave us the dog for the boys. Being the wonderful mother that I am, I wanted to name him something the little guys could easily say. My boys favorite book at the time was of animals and the sounds they make. The sound for the dog in the book was arf. So that became the name of our dog, Arf. I thought it was very clever and a great name, if I do say so myself. Agriculture is an important part of our everyday lives
One of the reasons I started this blog was for agricultural education. So far, I have mostly just been sharing my personal stories. Today I would like to launch the first of a new label, AG ED 101. Years ago, I attended an Ag in the Classroom workshop. This class really opened my eyes on how important agriculture is. That’s when I went from a farmer’s wife to a proud farmer’s wife and a proud part of the Agriculture industry. Vacation time for my Farmer
It’s been a long busy spring and summer with hardly any breaks here on the farm. And no breaks makes for a very grouchy Farmer. And I guess maybe a grouchy Farmer’s wife too. Ya, that would be me. Yes I will admit to being a tab bit on the grouchy side. Not as bad as my Farmer though. So it’s vacation time for him. I sent him off to hunting camp.
